Use the color-coded bags we provide for your convenience – Blue for aluminum, Yellow for plastic, and Brown for paper. Scan the barcode on each bag to start tracking your contribution.

Schedule a Pickup or Drop Off

When your bags are full, use our app to schedule a pickup, or drop off your recyclables at a nearby recycling center. Or hire a recycling advocate to pick up your recyclables and process them at our facility. Then, your redemption is calculated and sent to you electronically 

You choose what’s most convenient for you!

Get Paid or Donate

Choose how you want to be rewarded! Get paid based on the weight or quantity of recyclables, or donate to the recycling fundraising programs of a local school or nonprofit organization.

We pick up and pay you for your CA CRV recyclable items. You can get redemption of materials such as aluminum cans, plastic, and glass bottles. If it says CA CRV on your containers, we’ll pay you for them.

Understanding CRV Recycling

California Redemption Value (CRV) is the regulatory fee paid to consumers when recycling beverage containers at certified recycling centers in California. Independent businesses usually operate these centers, which are certified by the CalRecycle Department. Recycle From Home™ is the ONLY authorized mobile recycling center in California.

In order to receive CRV in California, you must present all containers marked “CA Cash Refund” or contain similar CA CRV messages. Milk jugs and cartons and other non-beverage containers are some containers we don’t take.

What does CRV mean in recycling?

CRV stands for California Refund Value (CRV). This refers to the refund California consumers receive when they recycle beverage containers of various material types such as aluminum, glass, and plastic. Eligible beverage containers are stamped with a CRV label.

How do I reclaim my CRV?

To reclaim your CRV refund, you can schedule a pickup of your recyclable containers with Recycle From Home. Our mobile recycling center in California takes your containers, processes them, and calculates your refund. We can send it electronically or by mailing you a check.
